There are countless stray dogs roaming the globe, fending for themselves and relying on human goodwill. But, thankfully, there are many good Samaritans who will do anything they can to assist, including offering food and shelter.

And sometimes it’s the individuals you least expect to be giving, those who have the least to give. That was the case lately, after a wonderful deed performed by a street vendor was captured on camera and went viral.

In a video released by local news station Expreso, the story comes from Puebla, Mexico.

A lone street vendor is seen walking down the street, carrying his goods on his back:

But he soon realizes he isn’t alone — two stray dogs are following him:

But instead of ignoring the dogs, he stops — and decides to feed them!

He approaches the black stray dog and offers him food from his supplies, which the dog enthusiastically consumes.

Making sure both dogs are fed, he throws some food to the other stray, who is hanging back.

He might have sold that food as a street seller, or even kept it for himself after a long day of work, but instead he chose to feed these hungry dogs that had presumably gone without food for a long time. There’s no denying that he brightened these canines’ day.

Most impressively, he did so absolutely unnoticed, completely ignorant that his nice deed had been captured on tape.

“He was caught doing something unique when he thought no one was seeing him,” Expreso wrote.

In just a few weeks, his kind deed has gone viral, with over 4.6 million views.

The man has not been recognized, and little else is known about him, but the person who took the video, according to Expreso, was “amazed by the gesture and begged to meet this amazing person.”

While the gesture was clearly selfless, the man should be tracked down so he can witness the impact his good deed had on the internet.

“God bless you for such a noble gesture towards those little animals,” a top comment on the Facebook video reads.
